Goliath Vs. Thor: Hasbro Retells A Bad Joke In Plastic Form
To make matters worse, it also comes with a copy of Civil War #4, the issue where Clor does indeed kill Bill Foster. At least in the reprinted Hasbro version, the line about Sue making love to Reed one last time before leaving him on ethical grounds is removed. Shame they couldn't do so with, y'know, the rest of the comic.

Oh my - if you didn't post this, I would have thought this was a Aaron Brewer photoshop job trying to incite my rage...this is Chris Rosa btw.
ReplyDeleteI just realized - if not for that sliver of Terminator-style metal on the side of Clor's head, you'd have no way of knowing that this was a clone-why not just name it "Clone Thor" or "Dark Thor"? 'Cause now, it looks like every other two-pack Marvel puts out...except this time, you're essentially celebrating one of your "Big Three" KILLING another hero - and even worse, Thor didn't do it! Unbelievable...CJR again
ReplyDeleteTo quote Thor himself in Kieron Gillen's Siege stories, Clor is "an abberation created by short-sighted men." And I don't think he was talking about Tony Stark and Reed Richards. :P
ReplyDeleteI hate Civil War and all, but I have to admit, I LOL'd.
ReplyDeleteI'm also up for a Green Goblin/Battle Damaged Gwen Stacy two-pack.
" I'm also up for a Green Goblin/Battle Damaged Gwen Stacy two-pack. "
ReplyDeleteThere's a special hell created for you after that comment, but I'd be happy to join you there :)
Actually saw this set in a store this morning. What's odd is that they don't advertise the very obvious fact that the Thor toy included has gone all T-800 on us. Nor do they bother using the character name the Thor clone eventually got. (Ragnorok.)
ReplyDeleteThen again, the Loki/Frost Giant pack is infinitely cooler than this one to begin with; if I collected MU, I know which one I'd snag.
